punkbuster kick
« on: June 22, 2012, 06:39:09 AM »
Game disconnected: you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'Groosman' (for 0 minutes) ... RESTRICTION: Service Communication Failure: PnkBstrA.exe

This is the error I get... I have already tried disabling my antivirus and firewall.. no help I get kicked before I even get into a game.  Punkbuster says it updated and good to go.. what ever... HELP PLEASE!!!!! this has happened before and I do not want to have to unistall everything but my operating system and reinstall it all again.. sigh...

Thanks in advance and listening to me bitch...

marpla had this last night or the night before - it's the anti-virus

punkbuster is acting like a virus/trojan so the anti-virus is killing it and then BF3 goes "WTF!" and you get booted

talk to marpla or anyone else who posts here and had experienced it

You can search Google, but when this has happened to me before, I manually execute the pnkbuster update, (should be a punkbuster folder under your BF3 install directory I would expect) and I was fine after.  It runs a dos shell update, that you should be able to see results of in the DOS window it pops. (or did last I ran it ).

It's frustrating I know :(

Hope that helps.
