Title: BF3
Post by: Nowake on November 19, 2011, 06:21:07 PM
Dear BF3 player, A couple of subjects have come across my desk of late. The first is the question of server rules, OBC BF rules and rules rules rules.

There has not been a change, at all.......none.  if its in the game, its goes. that's what has aways been form my 1st day to now. sorry about base rapage, sorry about it all, but its in the game and the game is the rule.  Now, we might not like it; but get over it. Stop bitching about it and get around it.

If Its In the game, please except it. And now that we have BF3 on us, the progression of the add ons per weapons are crazy and ARE adding major misunderstanding.
Marple and his inferred vision in tanks drives me nuts. that optical add on is a major benefit in a battle. but i keep playing because its part of the game. However i take great pleasure in killing that tank. and i will pick on Marple a little more, Marple does not hack, cheat or do anything then just play the game...........a hell of a lot better then most of us.

So, my point.........lets do take it easy and enjoy everyones company. feel the love.......... be happy then go get his taggg.

The thing that suck about pf3 , you get there tags and there no proof of it :/ They got no tracking system like bc2 ..seem to be going backward.

Are you serious?  That there isn't enough tag tracking is indicative of BF "going backward?"  First of all, you can track what dog tags you have taken through battlelog.  But to say that the game is going backwards because of dog tag tracking is picking the ant crap out of the pepper shaker.

Its small , I will give you that Duke but BC2 , you could see the list of all the tags that you get from a person and how many times ? Overall BF3 is a broken game that was release as a beta not a finished game . Dont believe me , go to the forums and read all the problem with the game . From chat system broken to graphic flashing to respawn to balance of the game to knifing a prone person , need more ? hit reg broken, Full of bug (cant jump through windows or cant jump on a lip to get into a room),Kill cam broken Server has it off but you can still see them,locking-in a vehicle with a guided missile ,just hop out never have other lock on again, hit detection http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2832654347754505897/ (http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2832654347754505897/) <---Here a list of Bugs in the game. Destruction has gone backward in this game. I bet alot of ppl brought this game after viewing the 5 story building coming down , thinking it was in the game .

Well first, I think you are already upset with this game because of a perceived inadequacy with the Recon Class.  I read in the forums before where based on that one class you were ready to quit the game.  Now I disagree with you there because I've seen people "figure out" the recon class and aggravate the hell out of those of us using the other three classes.

Now I wasn't around for the BC2 release but if I remember hearing people correctly there were quite a bit of issues in the beginning.  But DICE worked on it and I think we can all admit BC2 was a pretty solid product after some tweaks. So you are comparing the current BF3 glitches to BC2 after 1 Year + of patches, updates, and repair.  Are there issues with BF3? Sure. Is it perfect? No.  You should have seen the crap that went on after COD Black Ops was released.

So admitting that there is progress to be made with updating BF3, now I'd ask myself what are we left with now in late November '11, 1 month post-release? Personally, I think we've got a revolutionary game which has set a new bar for multiplayer action. Visually have you seen anything that looks this good in maps this big?  I get some graphic flashing sometimes but I've got a two year old video card.  Battlelog---ok aside from knowing how many times you knifed an individual---did anyone think that browsing stats and weapon progression for you, your friends, or anybody for that matter, would be this easy? Battlelog shocked the hell outta me because I was so skeptical about it.  Try looking up your friends' and foes' stats in BC2? Can't do it.  I primarily use vent so I can't say I've used the chat system. I disagree with the hit reg, I seem to be able to hit what I see. Kill Cam is annoying but I try to devote a lot of my time to not having to use it.  Honestly I don't care to open the link because I'm basing my opinion on my experience playing and not what others post in the Battlog forums.  If I ever get to a point where I am mad at BF3, I guess I'll rage and open it.

You made the post about dog tags, not the other stuff, which is why I was so surprised at your "going backwards" statement.  I have faith that those other glitches you described will be addressed.  In the mean time, I refuse to the throw the baby out with the bath water because hey this baby is pretty cool IMHO.

Sure I can spend all day with the BF3 forum junkies and read about how epically Dice has failed.  Or I can log in, load up and enjoy the hell outta this game---which is exactly what I and plenty of other people in OBC are doing.  I'm sorry to pile on but I like this game enough to defend it---there are others in OBC who have not bought it yet.  I'd like to offer a different perspective (different from dog tag tracking anyhow) to those considering the purchase. Like EZ said, if you are not having fun with this game then you gotta spend your time on what it is you do find fun.

Wonderful attitude though, if I'm not having fun with this game.... don't have them make changes go elsewhere. Well, after paying my $60, I prefer to have them make changes rather than suck down $60

I didn't say don't make changes.  All I said was, if it's bothering someone so much why spend so much time being angry about it.  I want and hope that DICE is diligent in fixing what is wrong.  I just don't think that all that takes away from what is good about BF3.

There seems to be a silent majority that just play this game and get plenty of enjoyment out of it. They don't get on these forums and talk up what is great about the game.  That's what I was trying to do---say to all those people who haven't bought the game, that there are some of us that enjoy the hell out of it.

When MOH came out last year I bought it a month later.  I hated it for a lot of different reasons.  But I didn't get on the forums and bad mouth the game because I didn't enjoy x, y, and z.  I just stopped playing it and played what I did enjoy.  There were OBC members who obviously enjoyed it and felt the game had merit for their own reasons.

As for my attitude, well I'm trying to counter a negative post with positive counterpoint.  If you feel like that's a bad attitude then I'm sorry but I respectfully disagree.
